The kids are back in school- now it's YOUR turn to play! Join us for a creative evening of hand-dying shibori-style pillows. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity (and maybe a friend!). We'll provide all the materials and light snacks- feel free to BYOB for extra fun. Come relax, create, and leave with a one of a kind handmade treasure for your home.
Class description: Shibori is an ancient dyeing technique that involves twisting, tying, stitching and using resist techniques to create patterns in fabric. All dye and resist materials, including gloves are provided. This can be a messy process so plan on wearing your painting/art clothes.
We provide a 20" x 20" white cotton sewn pillow case, but please feel free to bring in up to 3 more items to dye. ex: cotton button down shirt, t-shirt, tank tops, dish towels, table runner etc. ** White and light colored natural fibers work best.
* pillow insert not included in price of workshop. We will have inserts available for purchase @ event.
